Did someone say "comedy queen?"

Hillary Yaas is a stand up, sketch and improv comedy drag queen comedienne.  She mixes glamour with camp, but rarely at the same time - and is also her own secretary! A tireless self-producer she has created many LGBTQ+ improv, sketch and comedy shows. 

She is also currently producing some super fun monthly shows!  With Messy Productions (her production comment with drag daughter Messy Margaret) she produces the camp and comedy focused "Drag on the Esplanade" at Bar Cathedral each month, among other productions (for example a drag brunch at Cecil's in North Bay).  And with her House of Lix sister Selena Vyle she is co-producing their duo act "Yaas & Vyle: The Play That We Just Wrote Just Now" which features just the two of them making up a whole play on the spot!

In drag she has performed all over!  The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, the Kingston Storefront Fringe Festival, the Ottawa Fringe Festival, the Toronto Fringe Festival, the Red Sandcastle Theatre, Comedy Bar, Bad Dog Theatre, the Social Capital Theatre, Woody's, the Second City Toronto Training Centre,  GayAF Comedy... even in the background on an episode of Private Eyes!  You may even spot her out of drag on shows like Murdoch Mysteries, and various commercials. 

She also co-hosts and helps to produce the Canadian Podcast Awards winning podcast “Squirrel Talk!” (2021 Best Film & TV Podcast) which has been featured at Just For Laughs as a LIVE podcast. And is also an award winning web-series creator (Catching Up with the Kovid’s - NYC Web Fest Quarantine Creative Award 2020).
